Should be ok. Same thing happend to me and my Senegal Bichir once. She was a little schocked and swam a little slow at first, but about an hour or so later see was just fine, right back to attacking my Del.

I did the same thing with a peacock. It spent ~30 minutes in the plastic container I keep my extra decorations in and was fine the next day. He lived through that, and a gar attack.

He'll be fine. I've picked up various species of eels half dried from my floor and watched them recover fully in a day or two after dropping them back in the tank.

eels are pretty hardy. I hope it survived the out of water adventure. I did the same with my BGK, for about 20 mins. freaky experience for both the fish and the keeper.
