its a male rtm. i have over 200 rtm and 5 tanks with breeding pairs. its a younger male i can still see a small amount of red on the cheeks that will eventualy go away. also the gill plate marking is still pretty dark. all of the markings on my large rtm males tend to fade out. i also have a large male non rt mota. very similar but neitjer the male of female keep the orange/ red coloration.
years ago the regular motas were common and the rtm were hard to find. now its the other way around. you can search y tube and you can see wild caught motas being caught. pretty kool
