Do you guys this will work out? Im in california so summer temperature is 90F-100F+. He is about 10 inches long. The pond is stocked with sun fish, mosquito fish, bull head catfish, koi, and goldfish. All my koi and goldfish are too large to fit in my marble pims mouth so I dont see any problems besides the mosquito fish.

If the water temp will not drop below 70 F and will not raise above 85 F over the whole season, should be okay. If the daily temp will not fluctuate more than 5-7 F, may be fine too.

Of course, the risks are - your outdoor fish/pond/creatures can infect your pim or transfer some parasites to him (their immune systems can keep those supressed but pim's may not) and vice versa - your pim can infect your outdoor fish with exotic bacterial strands that those fish has never been exposed to and may have no umminity against. Chances are in your favor but still the risk exists.

If he eats well and has plenty of room to swim, he can hit 1.5'-2' by the summer's end - his mouth will grow with him :) These fish are among the fastest growers of all.

How are you going to catch him to transfer him back for the winter?

I have a big fishing net to catch him with. Quarantine for a few months then put him back into the tank.

i recon should be OK, besides only for summer right? what is lowest temp in California in winter?
My marble pim lives in the outdoor tank. the small fish are gonners tho

In the winter it gets to about low 40's where I live in California. Isnt laos like summer year round haha.

My dad was born there :)

IME, cats of the Leiarius genus are not as predatory as, say, RTCs and far, far less predatory than, say, TSNs. If your pond is big and the smaller fish are not tiny, they should be relatively safe, especially if you keep your pim well fed... but by now he is back to being an indoor cat, right?
