i had a sev pair up with a bloodparrot but the BP was male so the eggs were obviously infirtile but if it was the other way round they could have been fertile?
parrots seem to cross with anything. i had a pair in that tank, and tehy split up to go with a severum :P

i just got a gold severum woo woo! cant wait to find out what sex my pink con is, i'm gettin attached to it:) although it would look hot in my flowerhorn tank... hmmmmm..

I know chris dosent believe me but I've had this fish, a green sev x convict. for about ten years.
Its nothing special. Heros can and do hybridize IME but the results are usually so-so.
I am pretty sure he's sterile.

Basically all the severum blood did in this cross was make bigger, more severum-shaped convicts. I grew out a few of these but this is the one I kept. They were all just more disk-shaped than a regular con, didn't show much green at all

oh but the sev x cons do have a tendency to have a larger black bar close to the tail, like severums do.
But for the most part, when you cross a fish that is always striped with a fish that has the ability to become striped, you end up with fish that always has vertical black bars
