I just finished my DIY LED Controller

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dude... Wow ummm I have no idea what that is or what it does but I'm impressed hats off to you

Im kind a new here but I have been following the breadcrumbs that lead me here for this particular project :)

Im actually interested in building a controller circuit much like what you described. Can you share the details with me please?

I can follow the basic electronics stuff but since Im not from the US I will have to find the equivalent thats available in India. Shipping the same stuff would beat the DIY concept, thanks to the shipping charges!!

It's basically an ARDUINO UNO microcontroller that has been stripped down to the bare minimum essentials, but with the addition of a real time clock (DS1307) and an Liquid Crystal Display. It's programmed using the same software as an "off the shelf" Arduino Uno or Duemilanove. Here's a picture of the circuit board under the display.

here's a close up view of the Atmel 328 chip that's "the brains" of this little controller compared to a US dime.

And another photo of it on my finger!

I can provide the board files, bill of materials, and the coding needed to create one of these things, for anyone that is interested. Just send me a pm with a Email address.

this looks great and very promising i was going to build one for myself but i just couldnt find any schematics on how to build one if you could post that it would be awesome

I apologize for my ignorance but I just joined MFK and I cannot figure out how to send you a PM.
Can you tell me how to do it please?

Simply click on the name of the person you want to send a message to. The option to "send a private message" will be one of several that will appear.

Nice Controller! Is it compatible to the Typhon-Reef?

It's my version of the "Typhon-Reef" Controller built with mostly SMD components minus all the 10volt hardware. I deleted the 10volt stuff because my DIY drivers only need a 5volt PWM signal to operate. It uses the same firmware.
