BayArea_510,
I got to say man your threads get many responses. Yes, some of them make me feel like I'm watching Jerry Springer, but lots of responses.

Before BayArea, we had a guy named Convict_Breeder, who later became LiverBearerFreak....he was entertaining and could bend elements. Too bad he was banned. BayArea, have you ever bent elements?
:grinno: lol j/k man

While overstocking works for some it is more involved than putting enough fish in a tank to eliminate any single fish's ability to establish a terratory. Water quality issues being paramount among them. Most of the succesfully overstocked tanks are run on drip systems similar to a commercial set-up where water is constantly being changed. While some enjoy the look of overstocking, it has never appealed to me personally, I perfer a lightly or moderatly stocked tank with a more natural look. A heavly planted tank affords the the ability to stock a little heavier than a non planted tank do to the ability of the plants to utilize and breakdown the fishes waste, however this also requires reaching a balance between the stock and the systems ability to utilize the waste produced.

To answer your question directly, I would not add the FH to your tank. While fishkeeping is an enjoyable and admittly addictive hobby, everyone goes through the period of wanting to buy and keep every fish they find interesting. It is important to remember the overall husbandry requirements of the species we choose to keep. While a 180 is a good sized tank it is a finate space and has it's limitations. We are here to help and advise you, think about the overall health and quality of the fish you keep, you will get much more enjoyment from a few healthy and beautiful fish than fighting an up hill battle against water quality and compatabilty issues.

Make a list of ALL your current stock, and then make another list of your proposed stock for the bigger tank, then we can give you advice. Are you 1000% sure you're getting the bigger tank?
