FISHING SEASON 2K11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just got back from Panama City Beach. Spent two days on the County Pier, it was pretty dead but there were a few fish caught. The first day i was there the tarpon rolled in and i caught my first ever tarpon, off the pier no less. Spent about 40 minutes fighting it then brought it in to the pier and popped it off. I saw 1 king get caught and another tarpon hooked up. The second day, water was flat calm with a slight east to west current. You could see fish busting about 500 yards of the end of the pier, turned out it was spanish mackerel and bonitos and we had a 3 minute run of them. Saw two big bonito get caught along with on king. Besides that a slow day.

Caught a fat 35inch pike last night,was over 12lbs.
Its my biggest one of the year so far and I'm pretty happy with it.

I do have pics, will upload them pretty soon there on my friends camera still have to get them.

Glad you got one more on the day CF, hard to tell what was up with that water man
banged that one and missed one just fan casting the drop off at the cove by The dam... Should of been doing that the whole time but it got to hot for me...

Fished for several hours yesterday. Slammed the smallmouth and couldnt keep the rock bass, bluegill and chubs off of the worms. Nothing on my catfish poles, but after nightfall, hooked into something really big on a mepps comet. Never saw the fish, but I felt the immense size and fight and it straightened the hooks on that and managed to get off... could have been anything :(
