Pixie Frog tank requirements.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I actually purchased 2 bags of eco earth equivelant to 3 bricks of eco earth, but do i need to replace the eco-earth often? I'll use a sheet of Plexi Glass with a hole in the top for the 80ish watt heat lamp.

I replace my substrate twice a year. I spot clean any waste when I see it but for the most part Pyxies crap in their water dish making clean up pretty simple.

I know this thread is old, but would an adult Pixie Frog be able to live in a tank that's 24" X 16" X ??. I will be building this setup, and can have the height all the way up to 16", but is that necessary?

Thanks!

For the coco
I go to home depot and get a giant brick of pure coco for les than a small one at a pet store. An under tank heater would be better since it won't interfere with he light cycle. Use a water bowl for it to submerge and maybe a small line of aquarium hose in the coco to remove excess water.
