Yesterday, I bought two angels (both about 2.5" long, not counting the length of the caudal fin, and 4" tall) to go in my 225, but as soon as I put the bag in the water to acclimate them, my aro took a bite at them, puncturing the bag. Luckily I had another suitably sized tank that was being occupied by hermit crabs, so I put the crabs into a kritter keeper, cleaned out the tank, put a well established canister on it, and set it up as a growout for the angels.

... So I'm thinking, if I grow them out to about 3.5" x 6", the aro won't see them as possible prey, so I will be able to put them back into the main tank. So my question is: how long should I expect that to take if they are kept in pristine water (overkill filtration and plenty of water changes) at about 78F with a diet of NLS cichlid formula, flakes, and krill?
