New Addition to the Fish Fam

Today stopped into a local fishstore next to LAX looking for some rocks for additional hiding places in my tank and saw this little guy. These pictures are of him stressed but when I bought him he has really nice coloration. I'm thinking he's some kind of cheap flowerhorn cross. Thoughts

Looks like some sort of red devil/midas mix. Seems to be peeling and changing colors.

Not what I would consider close to a flowerhorn!

Very nice fish though, hes a keeper!

Yeah, looks like some sort of Midevil/Amphilophus hybrid. He looks good, keep us updated on him.

What did you think? I wasn't that impressed. Rocks were a good price though.

Def looks Amphs to me. I'd say it is going through a change... I love when they get the black coloration on them. Good pickup and keep us updated as he grows.

Juvenile Red Devils/Midas tend to change collors until they get about 5". This Red Devil below was all black when it was 4", now its 7-8"
