So he gets divorced, and his ex wife gets his belts? If they could they'd probably cut off half his manhood and give that to her. The belts are actually going to be given to his kids when they turn 18, but still they are Shane's, he earned them and he should decide if he can keep them or give them to his kids

Not only has Shane Mosley been on the losing end of his latest boxing matches, he is also losing the fight in the courtroom as well. Per TMZ Sports, Mosley’s ex-wife Jin Mosley will be awarded 3 championship belts as part of their divorce settlement. Ouch. Here are some details:
The settlement provides that ex-wife Jin “shall maintain custody and control of three championship belts for each of the respective parties’ three minor children.” Each of the kids get a belt when they turn 18.
And Jin will get half of Sugar Shane’s cut of profits from videotapes and DVDs of his big fights, including bouts with Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Fernando Vargas.
Since the divorce was filed in California and community property rules apply, Jin gets half of Sugar Shane’s fight purses during their marriage.
Shane Mosley won’t have to split the $3mil he pocketed for his sparring match fight with Manny Pacquiao as the fight took place after the 2009 split, so there’s a small silver lining to an overall disappointing judgement. Not to mention the 21-year-old bombshell Bella Gonzalez that Shane has bagged, so I think Shane is sleeping well. Or not at all, depending on how you look at it.
 
Yeah,she was his manager for a while and said to be part of the rift between Shane and his father.Don't know what caused the divorce but it sounds kind of vindictive for her to want those belts as part of the settlement.Perhaps she really felt hurt in some way and taking the belts is a measure of revenge.....On the other hand,I don't see them being worth very much money anyhow.....

it's not about the money for me, i mean, if i'm him, boxing is my life, it's who i am, it's what made me. my blood, sweat and tears, countless hours of training,..... taking my belts from me in a divorce is like taking one of my testicles really

I agree,that's why I think she went after those belts because she knows how much they mean to him.I'm sure she knows that they are not worth any more than most of the trinkets and baubles he's given her over the span of their relationship.There's some hurt feelings behind that one and the judge must have been a woman to consider such a demand.
 
Honestly why would you want those other than to just get revenge. It's not like she can brag that she has 3 belts or anything, because everyone would know its not hers. Maybe the kids will have some heart and give them back to Shane when their 18.

Eh, they're belts, pretend you don't care about them and then she won't want them anymore. or you can always pull an OJ and pistol whip her and claim she stole your own memorabilia as you rob her
 
Another option could have been,if his sons were not entered into the equation, would be to have replicas made and hand them over to her....He could keep his cherished and real belts locked away and it would be up to her to prove whether or not the belts are fakes.
