Yesterday I picked up my first oscar (tank situation fine for now(55 G) and in the future[210 G]), I've done all my research so I thought I could handle one, but mine has spent all his time terrorizing my other fish. He's either trying to get my attention or he's chasing my other fish. Are all oscar's this agressive, or did I just get a bad one? Will his attitude change? I'm already ready to return him if this continues :(

Well if there smaller than him hes probably trying to eat them. Make sure you feed him A LOT cuz if you dont they get fussy

What else is in there with him?

3 Bala's, a CL, a crippled rainbow shark, 1 danio, 1 black neon

I know the danio and black neon will probably meet their end at the hands of the Oscar, but it's the Bala's that I'm worried about. Their all double his size and he still tries to constantly go after them, so they are getting stressed out :(

The Oscar probable wants control of the tank honestly. Is the other fish you have in there a cichlid as well?

no other cichlids, and he can have control, nothing is fighting back, but he just doesnt stop. I really like how he interacts with me, but I value some of my fish (Bala's + CL) more than him so if he puts their overall health into risk, he's gone

Oscars are not the worst cichlids to own when it comes to aggression, they are actually pretty mild. When it comes to cichlids you never know. I have a Midas that I consider downright peaceful compared to others Ive owned, yet at times my silver dollars just irk him so he chases them around a bit, he also does not like my pleco. But I have had many other cichlids in with him and he has never harassed any of them.

sometimes they are mellow other times there CRAZY i got a crazy one also he has killed a 9" Green Terror 8" Red Devil 5" EBJD 10" Red Head 6" Firemouth 6" Jewel 8" Herichthys Carpintis to many to name lol

I think I have a CRAZY one, I can't take it anymore. My Bala's seriously look beat up, I'm not risking their health, he has to go if he doesnt stop soon. I think he already killed my black neon.

If this is mild I can't even imagine what a really aggresive cichlid is like. All my fish would be dead if he was anymore aggresion, and he's only 2 inches long!!!
