i agree that deformed fish should live within rights. but he/her dont look like they can eat properly. i personally would have culled it ages ago. gr8 pics tho. was the place an freshwater store or a public veiwing type thing?

Really interesting deformed Aro. Any info on the age?

I can also agree that there should be more Indonesian fish there. Similar problem here in the Philippines. Most interest is in foreign fish and little is actually put into checking out the goodness within our local rivers and lakes.

No information bout the age. Ya, sad thing about native fish

It is a public place. The deformed fish has rached that size from baby which means the owner take care of him very well so no worry about he find difficulties on feeding

im not trying to cause an argument but it only has its lower jaw. but if a dog or cat or anything, even a human only had there lower jaw then sum1 somewhere would have done something about it. i know that this is your fish so it was not by your choice that it is still swimming but i thing that it is totally wrong that its still alive. if it was in the wild it would be here right now. sorry but i had to say it mate. dont take no offence by it

Wow those BGK look huge, and a community to boot

If all think that deformed arowana should have been put down, what do ya think about blood parrots and all the short bodied deformities that seem to be the rage?

+1, imo i think everything deserves at least a chance to live. those bgk are beautiful thought!

i think it is obvious that the aro has no problem surviving in the aquarium, i mean just look at its size, it can eat just fine what ever happens to be its diet and the care takers feed it what it needs to be able to eat, if it needs anything special. so if that's the case then i don't get y anyone thinks that fish should be killed.
