Is this a Jaguar Dovii hybrid?

Dont think its a Motaguensis, Motas are "red" so with the blue fins Id be skeptical of the claim.

Like "La Ciebas", controversial.

No such thing. Always just guesses.
Someone mentioned asking the owner exactly what his fish was. That's why I made that statement. I wasn't sure if someone contacted the guy or not.

jag and dovii both have a spot at the base of their pectorial fin; other memebers of the Parachromis genus do not.

Watched the video over and over on full screen, stopping it at numerous points..... the fish in question clearly does not pocess the spot on the base of the pectorial fin. Show me one picture of a jag or dovii that does not pocess this trait! Moe's pictures are good examples: His jags clearly show the spot and his motoguense clearly does not.

If the fish has jag (or dovii) in it, I would really doubt it is pure. Sure, always the remote chance the trait has completely faded away over the years or is not being expressed at all because of mood/state, but I really doubt it. Plus the fish really does have resemblence to a motoguense, especially the markings on the body.

14 inch motaguense?? the body shape is clearly managuense and ive never seen a motaguense with only blue fins. if you look just at the fins they scream dovii. also this is a six year old fish and as a jag ages its pattern breaks up more and more which may be a reason for no spot at the tail whatever that means. and also where is the red if this is a motaguense?
