Does anyone remember Mo's Anna Nicole Fesate? Largest female I've ever seen. I don't remember how big she was though. http://www.aquamojo.com/festae.html

I was thinking about this super big humped male again^. When I 'borrowed' this picture, the guy posted that it's 15-16". Maybe they get the big hump when they grow that large??? And I didn't know because I haven't seen many if any 16" Festae??? I hope not. I like the way mine's is now. :D

I kinda like the look of his nuchal hump. Either was, he's still an awesome beast.

Did you get a chance to measure yours before you got rid of that beast greenterra? How big/old was he when you got him? Still the nicest male I have seen here.......a monster

How could I forget? I loved that Festae. :hearts:

Here's mine. I measured her at exactly 10"TL about 7-8 months ago. I think she's at least 11"TL now. And she's waaaay more red than most Festae I've seen....she ooozes with redness lol.

I wasn't going to post her since she's only 11" I thought you guys would say she's not monster enough for this thread

Here they are squeezed in behind their peice of driftwood. Sorry for the scratches.

They're so much more majestic looking in person than seeing pics...unless your Japes or Brent (greenterra) or you know who...(aquamojo), you just can't capture them properly on film.

Thanks you guys. Nursing her back to health made her more endearing to me lol.

Hi Opiate! Long time no see....glad you're back. Brent's was def one of the best I've seen, I'm sad it had to go.

Brent, I have an idea...how about you get another male Festae, but smaller and grow him out?? Just an idea.

One more pic. My male has a scrape on his face and on his side right behind the gill. He's been chasing the female around some. I put a piece of driftwood against the back wall where only she can get into...somehow he's pushed it some so he could barely squeeze in. I fixed it for her hopefully she'll be safe from his infrequent rampages.

I have definitely considered that Balton. Like all fish in any species, some co-exist, some don't. If you are willing to shift stock at times and keep trying, eventually you have to find a mellower fish (hopefully). I think I need to add a couple of larger top swimmers or maybe a cat or two though to act as a bit of a distraction. Normal dithers would probably just become a midnight snack for the jag now. I have held off spending money on fish for a while as I was saving for all the new camera gear. That being here now I can look at spending some more $$ on fish.
