I am thinking about making a 120 gallon plywood fish tank. The dimensions will be 70" x 20" x 20". I have an oscar that I am going to be moving into the tank, still fairly young, and I want to know what you all think I should stock the tank with??

I really want the tank to look colourful but with bigger types of fish. This is going to be the biggest tank that I own so I want it to look really nice so, any suggestions??

if i had a tank that big i would get some jack dempseys, firemouths, some chinese algae eaters, some black kuhli loaches, and maybe a few green terrors or jewel cichlids, it adds a variety of color and all will get to be a pretty nice size as adults except the jewels but they add that red color, also some German Blue Rams would look great as well!

I'm also thinking about restocking my 125g tank which currently holds a mated pair of doviis. They are getting too big for my tank. I was thinking about 2 green terrors, 2 firemouths, and maybe 2 jack dempseys. I've always liked their iridescent colors. I'd get them as small as possible, because they will grow fast in a large tank and may help with the aggressiveness issues. If you like nice colors, you might want to look at African Cichlids (Malawi Cichlids for example).

You do relize Kuhlli Loaches only get 3'' and Jewel Cichlids are Aggressive, and German Blue Rams only get 3'' as well and are not compatible with any of the species listed above...

I like the idea of adding firemouths, green terrors, and jack dempseys but will they all get along with my oscar? Like I said, he/she is still pretty young.

Awesome, thanks for the help.

Any other stocking suggestions are welcome since it will be at least a month before I get the tank built and ready to have fish in it.
