ARGHHHHH .. can't beleive this happened
We returned from a wonderfulvacation from Vegas to a very horrific entry. Came home last night to a deadArowana 15 feet away from the tank. He jumped out of the tank while we wereaway; no idea why .. had enough food; the lights were controlled; water qualitywas pristine, and tank mates were behaving. The top lids was secured .. he hasleaped out twice before when we were around luckily, and many a times hasknocked down the entire top and lightning fixture; found those on the floor orsubmerged the next morning. Guess will never know why this happened.
When we examined closely, thefirst thud from the leap on the floor was 10 feet away and a couple of scales and some blood around there. What a painful sight; Wife found him first and wasstunned. She took great care of him but never showed it. Whenever she would becooking fish/shrimps/chicken, would feed the Aro too. We found him stiff anddry; probably jumped out 2 days ago. Buried him this morning; he now lays inwife's vegetable garden providing his strong vibes.
We got the Aro June10 at 2inches (pic 001) and at 15 months old he was 23 inches; weighing 4 pounds.
:WTF:
Guess I have joined the statistics.
RIP Arowana.
The first pic is a few days after we got him.
