Nandopsis Haitiensis- Aka: Black Nasty Pair

Hi everyone this pair are growouts from my Black male Voodoo. this male is now 5.5-6" and the female is 4-4.5" they havent spawned for me yet but show signs everyday I sent a huge spawn to Ira and he grew them out and sold a bunch off. these two were part of that group and Ira sent them to me a couple months ago and they were around the 3" mark give or take. I really had to have this male for two reasons, first he has his fathers blood and second his fins im sure they will spawn when they are ready. Im thinking about ordering a couple of F1's from Conkel and pairing them out with these two.... but who knows lol Anyway here is a little video of my Pair.

Very nice pair you have. I told myself that if I ever got a tank large enough I would keep a pair of these. Maybe that's why I bought their smaller cousins tetracanthus. How warm are you keeping your water? I read that nandopsis like very warm water. The song ain't bad either .

Thank you. i personally like these guys better than the cubans but thats just me. I usuallly keep my temps around 80-82 for most of my fish. i need a new heater so i can bump these guys up to high 80's thats prolly why i they havent bred yet.
