Goodness me. And I entirely agree, I love polypterus but I do not keep them because I cannot afford a tank large enough. Simple as that. FACT IS, if you weren't rich in the first place, and since you've admitted it, then in the future, stop keeping monster fish! Simple.

well my friend, u came to this late and I apprcaite keeping ur advice to yourself, you do not even own any of thses, and u coming arguing about it, i will keep in 5 Gallon any fish i want and i will get rid of any i do not want.

we r now talking about fact, this is the situation, if u can help with etiquette advice pls do or thx I need nothing from u.I'm not going to explain more to u, i belief we went through enough argument.

What should be done, is a lesson in proper English. :)
Good luck with that, and the proper care for your fish! You shouldn't get so pissed off about it, it's like they all said people can give advice and suggestions all they want, but your going to do what you want with your fish in the end anyways. Also, don't coincide people's membership time on a website with how long they have been keeping fish. Just because they joined in Mar 2009 doesn't mean they got their first fish in Mar 2009, that's just when they joined the website, as I know some people have kept fish for 40yrs and just found the site and joined, so be more courteous when it comes to membership lengths vs years in the trade.

I would love to stick you in a 5 gallon bucket. I agree, the choice is yours to do w/e with your fish, but if you're going to be an ass about it, I can't stand by that. Post the vids. Lets see your snakeheads in their pond.

First I'm proud to be member in this FORUM, it helps me a lot for any Info I need.



Second, u off from the main subject (Truly I do not know why), just simply stick with it, or u do not have to bother yourself writing improper words such as Guppies, lesser mind, attend some logic classes and lesson in proper English (pls BMac91 read previous post first see what they have wrote to me) . Ur advice and experience share it with thanks nothing more if u want to.

I would like to thanks whoever tries to help, but do u really care if I wear improper cloths, will u stop me and kick my ass OR tell me with advice in nice way, neither one I guess. I look now like criminal almost everyone attacking me from all directions, this is not Fair, GODDAM it it’s just a fish.

With all respect, some of u have read something about SH without experience and this is their chance to SHOW OFF, and some maybe have read but they have experience that’s the people will help, but they were extremely aggressive, I bet all of u have face very bad experience with fish and aquarium but they learned from their mistake.

People, pls again the advice been received thx, if u have anything else pls do but with nice way.

Water, maybe you should join the PETA or some kind of pet police. Go around arresting people, including moms and little girls who get cute oscars and keep them in their tiny 20g tank. If not, then you don't get to make demands...

kuait, I understand your frustration. There's no reason to hate the fish, I'm sure they love you (:)) as much as a broke single mom is loved by her daughter/son. I'm not saying that the single mom is poor nor are you, but she/you can only do so much given the situation. So, there's no need to go strapping bombs on a bunch of guppies and sending them to Water or fish_sauce.

Everybody calm down... go feed your fish, do a water change, check your water parameters, make sure all your equipment is working alright, and then jump back in the internet.

The only thing you have to understand Kuait, is that you are posting on a forum full of people that are PASSIONATE about Channa.
When you post something about maybe killing a Channa because you have no room for it, people might get a little heavy and start to bust yr balls a little.
After all, this website is Monsterfishkeepers.com, not Monsterfishkillers.com!

With all that said, I think you should (IMO) try and swallow a little pride, and just quit replying while you can. It seems the thread is turning into one of those "who can have the final word" threads, that tend to go on and on and get more and more aggressive.

Just throwing my ¥10 opinion in. I am in no need of a final word, so I quit posting right here.

well, the argument could be made the same for farm animals. being raised in cramped conditions only to be slaughtered and eaten. one person's farm animal is another person's pet. in thailand the people happen to eat snakehead so unless the guy was going to not eat the fish then it wouldn't be a waste. technically most of you are being hypocritical if you are not a vegetarian. luckily the guy did find a home for the fish. i do not codone any animals including cows to live cramped conditions.

I could give a rats ass if you don't care LOL. As for me taking courses in english and logic classes. Son, my grammar is just fine and as for logic classes.. Thats what you need to take. Oh Gee, I have a couple fish I can't keep anymore because I'm so cheap, I guess I'll just kill them. Great logic.

Wtf are you talking about? LOL You clearly do not see this guys ignorance. I know plenty of people that keep severely overstocked tanks, but they've been in the trade for years and I'm perfectly fine with that. They find ways to rehome fish, not kill them off just because they don't have the room.
