thanks matt, so what time is jeff and the others vendor sells there exotic fish? I'm assuming at 4pm the auctions that is left is just for common fish?

saw this guy outside the ACA convention the other night. I guess he smelled all the fish. This is downtown in a fairly major metropolitan area. He told me he was pre-registered...

I just got back from the auction...was a runner for most of the day (bringing fish to people / taking their money)... Probably the rarest fish of the convention was the last fish I bought at about 4 PM

Yes - gorgeous, probably 7" Ex-cichlosoma ornatum went for like $30...
I got a Chaetobranchus flavescens (~11") for $40. And a free bucket.

I noticed that you were fairly cautious when that critter spun around to look at you. LOL Good move. They can be nasty...not to mention rabies.
Congrats on the pick-up very cool fish. I wonder what came of Ryan's fish? Maybe he'll see this and update us.
i dunnnnnnno i got a STEAL of a deal at that auction on ORNATUM, i am VERRRRY pleased
what a great time that was i had a blast, loads of nice fish and all kinds of crazy **** for sale.
That ornatum was fantastics,did it turn out to be male or female(which ever it was it was beautiful)
I pick up a pair of rhytisma(cleaning flowerpot as we speak)a nice male pellerinni(about 7")and some great plecos,and some fenestratus fry from rusty wesell'
also pick up i giant used monster wet dry from disciple(putting it on my 180 tomorrow)
it was definitley a great time. it was my first auction/convention and i enjoyed it a lot and met some cool peeps in the process. Buddah them rhytisma were dope. All my fish are doin ok so far. Looking back it probably wasnt the the best time for me to throw some new fish in the tank while those rainbows were guarding their fry. They started putting all the newcomers in check. But they'll be alright, there's plenty of room in there. Oh by the way, one of those robertsoni's colors is ridiculous!! I'll get some pics when they stop hiding.
