What to put in my 180 with oscars?

I was gonna say bichirs as well. A nice big ornate or something would look good in there. Would you be interested in a gibby pleco? I have 2 I'd like to rehome they're 6-7" right now

I'd go with polypterus too, or preferably, a large hardy catfish like Pimelodus blochii

I would love to have my bichirs back, but its hard finding senegals at a good size around me. I had one large albino and he was killed by my texas cichlid. I have found that senegals are some of my favorite fish and definitely favorite bichirs. Any idea where to find the four lined pims?

4 line pims are a bit harder to find but they look pretty cool when they get big. Like a giant pictus cat on steroids. Another option for a cat could be a synodontis eruptus or featerfin cat that can be found pretty easily at a Petsmart. These get big enough to handle themselves around an oscar, but wont outgrow your tank. You might also try some larger clown loaches.

i say go for a senegal bichir, just put something for it to hide under, since its nocturnal he might not be out as much and he will get to about a foot long
