Can anybody ID this fella?

I've had this fella for at least 4 years, he's been in various tanks and moved house, never gave any problems, quite honestly I don't get to see him in this way very much. I can always spot him in the tank but don't see him out like this very often.
I don't think he has grown very much in the time I've had him but could be wrong.

I think it was marked as "big spot" in the lfs when I bought him and I think it cost me 40gbp.

So if anyone knows what it is i'd be interested to know.

Maybe a L201? How big is it? Or a L082. I would say more of the inspector L201 pleco

I would say 3-4" I don't see it in all its glory that often to give an accurate length, its no monster though.
Expensive or just a common type pleco?

Spots are yellow not white. Seems to have a pretty short head too.

If it is a L201 they go from 20$ to 40$ depending on size,not rare but not common tho.

The L004 spots are too fine. L142 spot pattern is different. I.M.O.

It's a hypancistrus contradens, not L201.
