Is this the 300g. tank you had on "stand by"..... the one you posted for sale on 07/08/2011? And this post about the "tragedy" is started the 22nd? I guess you're right.... setting up a tank isn't as fast as "microwaving popcorn".... especially if you're putting the microwave up for sale.

300Gallon; 1/2 " thick glass + Tank + Canopy - SoCal - Pick up only;
300Gallon Monster Glass Fish Tank + Stand + Canopy / Large Aquarium.

This baby is hot.

Bought this tank on May 15th, 2011; however the structural engineer is advising from putting this on a raised foundation; hence the sale. My heart aches letting this beauty go; but cannot have it at the cost of comprimizing the house integrity.

Before you even read along, CAUTION - this tank is recommended for SLAB flooring only. Could work on raised foundation if you have retrofitted it. Anticipate approx 4000 lbs of dead weight. So, if you are still reading; below are the details.

Tank - 300 Gallon Glass tank 1/2 inch thick through out. Dimensions in inches are 96L x 30W x 24H. In excellent condition. Holds water; its almost 1/4 full to confirm; Very clean.

Stand - Dimensions in inches are 98L x 31.25W x 32.5H - The stand is painted Brown. I still have the leftover brown paint if you would like. It's solid and very stable.

Canopy - Dimensions in inches are 100L x 32.75W x 7.75H - Canopy is painted Brown as well.

Other notes about Tank:
- I bought the tank from the previous owner May14th, 2011 (previous owner bought it on May 10th, 2007. So he has had it for almost 4 years. He told me that he had the tank for less than 2 years)
- Makes me the third
- There are no leaks
- There are some scratches on the front side of the glass, a lot of the scratches were from the previous owner, and some of the scratches were from the live rock
- The right bottom border has about a 4" molding section (the plastic lip) that broke off when we were moving the tank through the window
- The previous owner had painted the back of the tank black. 1/2 inch of the paint has chipped away; easily repaintable in minutes
- I only have three glass covers, the rest were all broken or damaged when I bought the tank.

Pick-Up only. You will need atleast 8 people to help with the move. The tank, stand, and canopy are in easy to move locations.

Definition of a pond is a body of standing water that is either natural or man made lol. A pond does not only have to be man made. Had you some common sense, you would've known that. If you can't figure out that in your last post you just compared a natural body of water to a tank, then you really do need some professional help. All tanks aren't suitable because they have a lid? Really? Thats just unreasonable. Someomone who wants to spend money on a fish, time and effort to raise it for months, if not years, and wants it dead? Ever heard of dayak? Nobody wants to kill it, but theres a ton who choose not to do the proper research to prevent things like this which is practically the same thing. Even if there is no gaurantee on whether the fish would jump if it was in a bigger tank, it definitely couldn't have gotten out if there was a secure lid.

you made dayak famous with that one lol http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?429798-Who-is-dayak&p=5272447#post5272447

I'm sorry for ur loss hope u got the replacement,.make sur next time lid close tightly..I know u r aware the tank is bit too small and I also know u have 300 setting up.
The tank size is not what killed the aro..its the loose lids, even it is in the 300} it would meet the same fate if gthe lid is loose. Arowana is nature jumper as u can tell from the body it has. Even in gthe river they would still jump so its not the tank size what causing it jump, ignore those negatives comment unless u feel playfull with them :)
