Is this a good aquarium trade?

I put my 30 gallon and 37 gallon tall on Craigslist with tons of extras (decor, driftwood, substrate, stand, etc.) and I got a text from someone willing to trade.

Here's the trade...

My 30 & 37 gallons with lids, & lights for just their 75 Gallon Bowfront tank. (no lids or extras)

I am *assuming* theirs is a 75 gallon bowfront.
They will give me exact dimensions later tonight, but they said it is longer then a yard stick (which is 36 inches). A 75 is 48 inches. They also said it needs to be resealed in one place, about an inch long. Which is easy, we have Silicone. I could get eggcrate for the lid, and buy a cheap light.
Also, they did not want any of the extras I had offered.

But anyway, I just wanted to see what your opinions are... good or bad trade?
 
No not a good trade, by the time you reseal the tank and buy everything to get it running, you'll be in for quit a bit of cash. Better to sell your two tanks and use the cash to buy a complete used set up.
 
I would sell the two....I never trade or buy a cracked fish tank.............
 
i wouldnt make that trade. just sell the two tanks and use that money towards a 75 that is useable.

30g good cond tank w/ no leaks, fitted lids and lights
37g good cond tank w/ no leaks, fitted lids and lights

for an old beatup bowfront that leaks and needs to be resealed w/ no lids, lights, that he didn't even know the gallons on and was housing guinea pigs in.

F that garbage. :P
 
Thanks for the input! I didn't trade with him. I decided to sell both aquariums with lots of extras for $100 so I can buy a brand new 40 breeder to go under my current 40 breeder.
