Have You Been Disturbed By Ghosts / Spirits?

Here's my only "ghost" story:

When I was about 18 I lived with a girl (we broke up years ago) in this house basically out in the middle of nowhere in central CA (rent was cheap). It was pretty isolated, but I enjoyed it. She was one of those "spiritual" types that believed in all sorts of ghosts and spirits, etc. She claimed to have many experiences growing up, but I never believed in anything like that.
Anyway, one night I'm away at my parent's house and she is at our place. She had been complaining she would hear something walk around the house at night and crunch the dead leaves from the avocado trees. I was explaining to her it was just some sort of animal (it was the country basically, all sorts of stuff up there).
So, as we are talking on the phone, a distinct little girl's voice comes over the line talking over both of us (we lived alone). She says something I couldn't make out, and then says (I am NOT joking) "I'm in my bedroom alone, come play with me." My girlfriend hears it as well, and freaks out because she is in our bedroom alone. The phone then cut out and wouldn't work. I had to drive up there in the middle of the night where I found her scared half to death in the bedroom (haha ). Had to have the phone company come out and fix the phone, they couldn't figure out what happened and one of the cords somewhere was oddly damaged.
I always thought it was some sort of weird crossed phone line or something, but it was weird because it was about 1 am and what little girl is on the phone at 1 am? Don't know what to make of it, I personally don't much believe in these sorts of things but that did indeed happen. Maybe it was some elaborate prank... Who knows?

what was their reason for doing that to their children? was it because they couldn't provide for them? i've heard stories of parents killing their babies to avoid a long suffering starvation to the death

That's more or less the idea.
Well my grandmother used to tell me, kids were bad news when hiding/running from the Japanese army during her time, they were noisy and held people back. Usually people would kill the kids or abandon them. That's how she adopted my second uncle. Maybe the idea was that they could replace them later on?

Not how it would happen here in America. Imagine the Japanese army running through the Compton area of LA. It wouldn't even be sporting

The XBOX and remote hadn't been on for over a day...

Some other weird things have happened too that I couldn't account for.

I told the spirit that he/she could chill at my place, just don't bother me or my dogs. We are at peace

So this thread is still alive. Let me share few of my stories since I often have ghost/spirit visitation experiences.

When I was in college during the all souls day my brothers and sisters left the to go to our hometown and I was left alone in the apartment we are sharing. During the night while I was in my bed I felt someone was standing on the side of the bed. A bit scared but I ignored it. Worst thing have to come, suddenly I felt the other half of the bed slowly moving as if someone is laying. I never tried looking and I just stayed there not moving.
Another one is when I moved here in California. I rented a room in a 5 bedroom house. The owner and one more renter stays upstairs and my room is downstairs. After almost a month in the house, for a week everytime I would pass the stair going to the kitchen I would see a little girl sitting at the steps of the stairs as if waiting for someone. I can actually vividly see her there. I mentioned this to my landlady and she said they don't see her nor feel any presence.
One more...in a house where I worked as a caregiver, during my first night there I dreamed of a girl standing at the foot of a dead tree in the backyard. I didn't entertain that dream much. After few months as I am walking the hallway I saw a female figure in one of the bedrooms but when I came back to double check nobody is in there. So I asked the other people in the house if somebody just have been in the bedroom (thinking one of the people in the house might just be too fast to moved out) and it turned out no one since they are all in the dining room eating dinner. One time a female co-worker and I was left in the house, and it's day time, we've heard a female voice laughing and talking in the living room. We thought it is one of our co-worker but when we asked her she told us that she wasn't there during that time. Well when I am packing my things to moved out I was standing in front of the closet at the corner of my eye I saw a female figure, wearing a floral dress standing at the door way looking at me. To make myself not too scared I spoke to her and told her that I am leaving so no need for her to scare me.
Weird? Here's another one. For 3 days I kept on dreaming about my dead friend. Prior to his death I didn't see him for 5 years, even when he died. I only learned about his death from my mom. Anyway in one of my dreams he told me to write a letter for his wife, so when I woke up I tried to remember as much as I can the details of the letter he wanted me to write. I've never met his wife and I don't know where to find her. With the help of my mom throug my friends sister I've got in touched with his wife. I told her what his dead husband told me in dreams and it turned out the message corresponds to what she is experiencing that time. While talking to her I kept on visualizing my friend and he is pointing on his shirt, so I told this to his wife, the shirt he is pointing is a striped shirt color blue or green to that effect. It turned out my friends favorite shirt is a green striped shirt.
Still got a lot of other experiences but it is too long already.
