FX5 in a 35gal saltwater?

Do not know much about saltwater. I have a FX5 sitting here and a 35 hex and was wondering if i could make it a saltwater?

It will work fine in saltwater. While I don't believe there is such a thing as over filtration, you may want to do something with the output so that the current isn't so strong, spreading it out across maybe four or five outlets rather than the dual outlet it comes with.

My only concern is that in a 35 gallon hex, the normal output would cause waves rather than surface disruption.

an FX5 would definitely turn a 35 hex into a whirl pool. Without a doubt.

You will need to be creative with the flow but I think you can make it work

yeahhh it can work, but your going to have to figure out what youre going to do with the all that flow.

This. Agreed. Run the flow directly into porous rock like lava rock, or whichever saltwater alternative.
