My new, easier way to do water changes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just love it when people put there minds to work.

very cool any way to add the dechlorinator right into it
I'm sure there is. Bypassing putting a capful of decholorinator in isn't worth the effort lol. Glad you like it though. It makes life easy. Its not as cool as the automatic drip systems but it serves its purpose and I don't have to carry buckets which is what I was going for. I actually like water changes, it makes me feel more apart of the aquarium I think.

pretty clever

Hello; Am I correct in that you are putting water straight into the tank from the faucet? Is it well water or tap water?

Tap water, I dechlorinate it in the tank and have never had any problems doing it that way. I have filled an entire tank with my tap water and threw fish in there with no dechlorinator (accidentally forgot) and the fish were fine

looks spiffy, not all that complicated...retro fitting that do a drip system wouldn't be that hard, if you adjust the ball valve into the tank to a low setting, you would just need to set up a DIY overflow to drain the tank of any overflow...but that is what the weekends are for. I need a way to drain my tank easier. I hate lugging buckets.

Within the next two years I plan on having a house of my own so it'll be moved and completely redone. That is probably when I will have a nice drip system on it.
