Kind-of Hint: Despite its rarity, I think the fish you see in the second pic would likely be assumed to be relatively common by most people, due to its appearance and relative similarity to another species in the same genus that is commonly sold in chain stores like Petsmart.
No; no; again fairly close compared to the other guesses (it isn't a Loricariid, though); no, and no.
Corny joke/hint: If the smaller mystery fish could listen to/comprehend music, its favorite song would be "Heros of Our Time," by DragonForce.
Hint #5: Anyone with waaay too much time on their hands could search through my threads and find the names of both of these fish mentioned a few times. lol
