Please sex my Beani

Good day all,

I'm happy to have beani at all! They are very difficult to grow out from little guys. No matter what I tried, they kept getting bloat and dying. I finally found 3" beani and they grew out great! Anyway, can you all please help me sex these?


Beani 1 (I assume male, since he's the biggest/baddest one, but I don't know!):


Beani 2 - Follows beani 1 around...but unclear what his/her intentions are :


Beani 3 - Gonna pull this one soon, the tail is a bit beat up from one of the other two last night:

I believe they are dimorphic. You will have to vent them.

nice beani. not too expensive from what iver seen i can pick up juvies at lfs for around 8 dollars. as to sex i have no idea but that first just screams male to me but ive found beani very difficult to sex.

And I forgot to mention, if you want some beani, Hung Ming in Daly City has some 3" ones (and Istlanum, Dovii, Tetracanthus, Umbees, Motaguense, etc. etc.). I got mine from "Dan" on CL, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Roger. He's supplied some nice fish to me in the past! Actually...looking at that list...I kinda want to just go visit anyway!

You mean monomorphic. If they were sexually dimorphic, you wouldn't have to vent.

Venting is the only way to sex beani.

I had six together n they killed each other now left with one, urs looks nice but u will have to vent them
