Yes (well, it's just a gold, but close enough) and yes.
They had the syno labeled as a "Synodontis melanosticta," but I am pretty certain it is actually a S. frontosa (I'll post up a thread regarding that issue soon). Either way, at $99, I think it was a pretty decent deal.

No, the "Heros of our time," thing was a lame pun using the word "heroes." I spelled it differently because the severum's genus is "Heros."
beautiful fish, you don't often see the more yellow severums these days
