Does anyone know of any aquariums in the east coast, mainly New York area, that has a decent CA/SA cichlid exhibit? Looking to visit some in the near future and obviously would like to see some. Thanx.

If you ever make it down towards DC, there is a large amazon exhibit at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. I could sit there for hours watching the tank.
There is also a display at the National Zoo in DC called Amazonia. They have several big tanks with a variety of south american stuff, ranging from discus to arapima and red tail cats.

not new york but pittsburgh has a nice one. they have a giant display with amphilophus and lots of other ca?sa fish. plus other smaller displays
Just came back from the Camden Aquarium in New Jersey. Was nice but had VERY Small assortment of CA/SA cichlids. Africans out the wazoo though. All they had was a small caiman alligator tank with satanoperca Leucosticta and some Acarichthys heckelis. love them but was not very impressed with the selections.
i live 5 minutes from the camden aquarium,and thats the reason i dont go there,i think i have a better selection of ca/sa fish than they do.lol
I should have paid you to see your fish instead. lol. At least I had a nice dinner in Philly. There was a HUGE hippo tank with what seemed to be a thousand african cichlids which was cool. Dirty as drap though. Any others have any suggestions for CA/SA cichlid filled aquariums?
if you want to make the trip you would love the Shedd Aquarium they have the biggest selection of cichlids i've ever seen with 1 tank having like 30 midas. Shedd is in Chicago tho'
I actually went to Shedd Aquarium about 5 years ago but that was before I was into cichlids. To bad for me huh. lol. I couldnt appreciate it back then.
