It's what cows drink water out of. You will only be able to see your fish from above like a pond.
For rays it wouldn't be that bad but with an aro and some peacock bass I don't think I would do that

And so, to bring this conversation full-circle:
There are "Blueberry" and "Strawberry" arowana at the wholesalers these days, so they'll be making their way to the local shops. They are south american silvers, dyed to colour same as they do to other fish: gourami, angels & stuff.
This chat has gone from fish curiosity to animal cruelty, thus the circular aspect in dying fish, which is dumb, cruel, unnecessary and apparently tends to weaken the fish.
When we talk about putting a large fish in an undersized tank, we are talking about poor husbandry which is ANIMAL CRUELTY. Is it different than tying your dog in the sun without water for all its life? Some would say no, I say yes. Until it's illegal (it is for the dog, but it isn't for the fish) then people will feel it's OK.

Whose putting large fish in undersized tanks if your pointing the finger at me then your wrong all my fish I would still consider babies for the size they are eventually going to be Its not like I'm keeping these fish in a 90 gallon tank there while life believe me I'm upgrading to a much larger tank before they even get close to full grown
A voice of reason
Did you actually eat 50 eggs?
It's a general statement, not directed at anyone in particular. But if the shoe fits.....
