You can get 20 F1s for $100 if you look around. The tank size is fine. The all male tank won't work like Mike said. You want to get 1 variant of Tropheus in that sized tank, and don't mix and match more than one. Really. I see people's posts with like 2-4 different types of Trophs in one tank, it doesn't work. With a bigger tank, maybe, but I always keep only one variant per tank. If you get Tropheus the breeding happens if you are doing it right. It's not a hassle where you have to strip and tumble eggs. I basically just net out the babies every couple of months and sell or give them away (usually when I am cleaning the gravel under all my rock-work). If you are looking to spend $50 to stock the tank then by all means hit up Petco for some "mixed africans", but if you are looking to have something unique, colorful, and active I would definitely roll with Tropheus.
