I cannot believe the difference between store bought fresh and really fresh..A friend of mine went salmon fishing.. and he caught a huge one.. made enough to feed a few familys.. so he gave all of us some fresh filets in wrap bags that seal.. what a nice job..not one bone.. i am still talking about it..because before salmon did not appeal to me.. but this was so good.... good thing i put some in the freezer so i can do it again.. no wonder you guys love fishing..

I refuse to eat fish from the market because the ocean's are having enough problem with over fishing. I Prefer to eat locally caught fish, and especially love eating fresh fish! its awesome

I tried farmed salmon once, and it tasted almost exactly the way sewage smells. Same for tilapia. I really look at people funny when they say they're okay eating farmed fish. I wonder: If I put poop in their chili, would they give it rave reviews? Salmon has to be wild or the omega 3 to 6 ratio is no good and you might as well be eating McFood. They have not yet figured out how to affordably feed large lots of captive fish proper food (invertebrates that ate algae and seaweed would be a good start), and instead force them to eat things like hydrolyzed feather meal and corn. And then more corn. And you want to eat something that ate corn? Suicidal people all around me! We all know by now how toxic wheat and corn are. Eating them is just a nice gentle way to die. And eating animals that rely heavily on them will screw up your system similarly. Farmed fish are good for nothing.

Wild fish for the win!

definitly ... i will never bother with store or farm raised again..

you haven't been living till now :D

I once caught a 35 pound salmon of the coast of Fort Bragg, CA. We had the huge, blood red steaks on the BBQ less than 3 hours after the fish was caught. It was the most amazing fish I have ever had. Now I compare every other fish I eat to that one. None of them come close!
