I have a pair of jewled cichlids I got from petsmart.(only time I ever bought a fish there.) They had about 100 fry with them. I got to take some. Fry home. I set up a new tank with among chips and old tank filter to help new cycle. The tank is 15 gallons. With a ac50 and a 90gph power head on the under gravel. To much water flow in the tank? Bigger tank? Less flow? Idk if I should use the under beable or switch to a air stone. Any ideas would be great thank yo. s typed in pho ne) mfk needs a DROID app bad

Be very careful with fry under a month old.......Too much water flow will prevent them from catching their food..........The strong current will also tire them fry easily making them "float around with the current" and becoming sucked up.......The best way is to have a bubbler circulate water in a fry tank..........There is no suction, just water circulation...........

Well its the fry and 2 parents I have not seen the fry since I put them in. But in a cichlid breed tank in genral how much flow should I have I do have a sponge filter ready I could take from a different tank? It says for 30the gallon tank and the breeder is only 15. ?
