I would like to get into the hobby of breeding plecos. I have already had two successfull batches of albino bristlenose plecos and would like to try something new. Please give back some feedback on these two plecos. And any other plecos that would be a nice breeding experience.

i wish to breed the albino bristlenose so can u tell me about ur experience with them ? and what is the required things in the tank to breed them and what is the best size to breed in

im not a professional albino bristle nose breeder lol. all i did was i bought an adult pair from the store and put them in a long 40 gallon. i was told to make a little house for them so i glued a couple pieces of wood together and left an opening. they did the rest for me. its actually pretty easy!

Have you looked at the L-144 "Blue eye" Bristlenose Pleco?

Plecos need a cave for breeding. The male will guard the eggs.

As far as breeding plecos goes, it is easy......The basic setup would be:

20-40g LONG tank........
Maybe a peice of driftwood........
Lots of PVC piping to hide and breed in...........
A powerhead to create a strong current.........
Lots of vegatables..............

I have seen the blue eyed bristlenose. Those were also in my choices. I was shooting for something away from bristlenoses tell ya the truth.
