My new 750 gallon Monster Tank...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Should'nt you put a piece of Plywood or foam under that tank? IF that is acrylic, isn't it recommended that the whole bottom of the tank be secured and flat on somthing? OR is it there I just can't see it?

Thats not a pic of my tank lol...Im still finishing my stand that guy was just showing cherry pickers come in handy....Thanks stars...Im going to be keeping a lot of peacock bass, aros, and I dont know what else...

wow man thats a badass tank nice job

Nice! Just going to throw in my 2 cents in regards to the stand. I see that the old one had the water level a bit below eye level. In my opinion, it's a shame to have a Monster tank and have to crouch down to see the fish hitting the surface at feeding time. It's just one of my pet peeves, but something to maybe consider. I would say make the stand at least high enough so that when you stand upright, the water level is above your eye level (the higher stand will also give you more room under the tank for monster filtration).

Looking forward to seeing your progress on this. Post tons of pix!

Love that tank.. I cant wait to get my monster tank started.. Also the cherry pickers in and idea I will most definatly be using, dont know why I never thought of it?! Cant wait to see your progress.

Yeh the new stand that I built I made it to be 36" high..The original stand that came with the tank is 32".I'm still jealous of ur nice monster tank Alex lol....

I have got to get a bigger place (one day, we actually just bought our little home a year ago). My girlfriend freaks out every time I start looking at these threads. She still can't believe I got the 135 gallon. Of course, she also thought my 55 was huge.

Looks like a great tank.

I like the stock list you have so far, but when I one day get something in the 500 - 1000 gallon range, I fear I am going to disappoint some people because I will stock with cichlids and maybe one aro. I just like them better than the true monsters that are the desire of so many on this website. To each their own of course, but you must flood us with tons of pics of progress and eventually a stocked 750 gallon monster.

On a side note, I have no experience with these monster tanks (biggest ever was a 180), why does everyone do acrylic for them? Is it a weight issue or just availability? I only ask because I also have no experience with acrylic and would like to stick with glass if I can since I have never, ever had a leak or any other problems with an actual tank (unless you count the time I, as a 2 year old, destroyed my dad's 20 gallon with a coffee mug).

Drinking coffee at such a young age will stunt your growth......
