what are things that i can do to get the female to lay eggs shes allready digging and has pitts everywhere but is not laying eggs i do water changes twice a week

just be patient and have a divider ready incase it goes bad, the person you got yours from just had his pair spawn
the male wont go near the female shes vicious and he has marks on his lips there about 6" each female a little bigger than the male is there any thing i can do or just be pateint
it would be a good idea to up grade to a tank with a 72"x18" foot print or larger and give your female alot of hiding spots or you will have a dead female on your hands and i know no one wants that if you keep your fish happy they will keep you happy just remember that good luck with your breeding i hope everything works out 
i will definatly try the dropping the temp thing thanks and i am upgrading to a 180 in two months i have a 90g now thanks
