Yeah, I think you are right that pfs would look good. I might keep it bb or switch to sand. We want to move, so either way, it is staying bb until and if we ever get into another house.

The black on that kel is awesome. From the FTS they all look like big boys. I'm also sitting on the fence on substrate or not in my tank.

Thanks Ken. They are big, but still have some growing to do! Yeah, I've never done bare bottom in a tank. I like its looks and ease to maintain. Because of the flow in the tank, the poo and stuff piles up in the same place, and I can easily scoop it out with a net without bringing out the gravel vac.

The Tig is my baby. He is a pig that loves Massivore and shrimp. I've gotten some pretty good growth on him since I've had him. The tank feels incomplete without one more Cichla, but I had to get rid of my last Cichla because it was beating on the Tig. Now everyone gets along. What happened to your Tig?

All there is other than the FX5s is a pump (with a prefilter) hooked up to a 36 watt Turbo Twist uv sterilizer. Thanks for the comment!
