Spotted Gars for 39.99,good price or not?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as i stated in the recent "tropical gars now available" thread, the fish is worth what people are willing to pay for them really. so that can control the market. that and i don't think you should be saying what is excessive or not when it comes to spotted gars and prices--

Good point; I was just basing it off of the prices from when you were selling them and stated somewhere else about what you consider to be overpriced.

so I got the price of $20 each for some SPG is normal?

yeah, it's a complex scenario with those fish reGARdless; doesn't really fall in with regular LFS issues. i think (in posts after your last one and before this one by me) there is now starting to be confusion as to whether we are talking about FLGs or SPGs...--

He mentioned in another thread that they're from a group of gar from someone's pond in Texas, so I'm leaning towards spotted gars on this one since the owner could have caught them and added them to the pond.

EDIT: Oops, that was HungDang, not krichardson. I seriously hope that they're Florida gars though for the LFS's sake; the Fish & Boat Commission here in PA seems to be cracking down on the illegal collection of spotted gars now.
