Sorry bro. Yet another reason I would go acrylic in anything over 200 gallons... My new tank has similar dimensions, 72x30x24". It's acrylic though. :)

Am i understanding this right.....you drove 400 miles to get the tank?

By the looks of the 1st pic on the truck you didn't have any blankets underneath of the tank?

what could i seal the front crack with so it doesnt flake or leak. what do windsheild repair shops use? also, im thinking a 2"x12"x1/2 piece attached to the bottom side of the brace shoul hold but what do i use? silicone?

I wouldn't trust that thing! That would be an awful amount of water and the damage it could cause. As was stated I would go acrylic in anything over 100 gallons.

i had 3/4" styro and 1/2" cardboard under. only thing i can think is i it a bump hard enough for the tailgate to pop up.

If the crack is just in the brace that is attached to the sides/front/back, ie the 2" rim, then that crack is wholly irrelevant to the tanks operation, by all means patch it with a 3" piece of glass if you want to make it whole again. It is you who has to live with it full of water so whatever you feel comfortable with.

The crack in the front right is a whole other story IMO. I would use the fix I mentioned above as that will give you the srtongest and least noticable fix. To clarify I mean to brace the corner inside the tank to make it least noticeable and to allow the waters force in the tank to create a stronger seal with your small glass pieces.
Always repair glass tanks with aquarium safe silicone.

I wouldn't trust it since it is at the bottom of the tank there will be literally a ton of water weight on it. If it where higher up it would be a different story. I would see if the tank manufacturer will work with you on replacing that panel since you just bought the tank they might be willing to help you out.

That sucks man, a fishkeepers worst nightmare

Did this tank come from glasscages? I've been tempted to order from them, but have heard stories of how crappy their glass is...

yes it did. the tank was well build (workmanship wise) but i dont know anything about the glass itself. its built from some very think glass. i had 4 guys come over last night and we couldnt get it moved. it spent the night in the yard. had more come today to finish the move. i only paid 675 for the tank itself. 1/2 off from their outlet store (bc the crack in the brace)

Funny thing, I was speaking to a friend today regarding their tanks. He had a 125 from them that cracked right across the middle after having it setup a few months. They have a very shallow warranty also, so there wasn't much he could do. I have also heard from folks who have not had any problems at all with them.

I'd be terrified of that thing leaking, but after spending that much money, I would just silicone the crap out of it, and hope for the best. Try testing it outside or in the garage for a few weeks to make sure. That is if they don't want to help you replace it. Another long trip back to them might not be as bad as having all that water all over the place.
