Funny thing, I was speaking to a friend today regarding their tanks. He had a 125 from them that cracked right across the middle after having it setup a few months. They have a very shallow warranty also, so there wasn't much he could do. I have also heard from folks who have not had any problems at all with them.

I'd be terrified of that thing leaking, but after spending that much money, I would just silicone the crap out of it, and hope for the best. Try testing it outside or in the garage for a few weeks to make sure. That is if they don't want to help you replace it. Another long trip back to them might not be as bad as having all that water all over the place.

Sorry to hear about the crack, that must be devestaing especially after such a long drive. I to bought a 300 gallon tank for Glass cages, and never had an issues with the tank. Had it for 7 years then sold it to a buddy and it has been rock solid. In my experience the company has been nothing but helpful even after I sold the tank and needed other products. I can't speak for everybody, but when dealing with tanks that large you really have to be careful. I say contact the company and see what is the best deal they can do for you to fix it. Or find someone local that deal with glass that might have some idea on how to fix it. But like someone said in an earlier post, I would not put that tank in the house filled with water until it's repaired, that's going to be so much water pressure and like you said a drive back may be cheaper than having to repair your house if that glass lets go. Good luck with whatever way you decide to go..

Silicone won't bond to acrylic, so this would not help much...

Thats alot of water!! I wouldn't risk it, do you have a basement?

No, it looks like a loose tooth waiting to bend out. Patch the corner as suggested. I'd patch it from the outside and from the inside.

Here is a little trick that you could use on that before patching it.

Go to your local glass repair shop and see if you can buy the suction device that they use to pull glass glue through a chip in a window. If you can get this tool from them pull glass glue through the crack and give it lots of time to set. It should prevent the crack from moving any further.

Then after you have given it lots of time to set. You can use this product to apply to the glass itself.

I would use that on the exterior of the tank as it will not affect your ability to level the tank.

Now the recommended amount of overlay that I have come up with for a glass patch job is minimum 6 inches on each side of the crack to be patched. I personally would attach any patch plates with glass glue or expoxy versus using silicone. I also would not be cheap in the amount used. When you get the patch in place I would seal the rim with silicone just as if it were a tank corner.

If done properly you should be able to save the tank with no issue.

^^^ thats what im hoping to do monday. all the local glass shops are closed today and tomorrow
