i would build my own sump personally, glass is easy to work with, place a panel and silicon in place. though I like to go with the minimum 1/3 rule, sump should be no less then 1/3 the size of the main display tank. So for a 180g, I wouldn't go less then 60g

How did you come up w/ this rule? The size of the sump and the quantity of bio is 2 different things. In sump filtration, overall size means nothing. A 60 gallon sump does work for a 180....... if you overstock.
