Hi guys. Am very interested in getting a 6ft (L) 4ft(w) 4ft(H) Will this be ok for me? Am worried the glass will be too thin.

5’ x 3’ x 12mm glass front.

Its going to be about 700 GAL

Thanks for your help guys!

Seems pretty thin to me. Is it tempered glass by any chance?

If you want your glass that tall you should make it 3/4" instead. The tallest I would go with 1/2" in about 27 to 28 inches. On my tank I used 1/2" and the viewing window is 27.25" inches tall. Its holds fine but I wouldn't want to go any taller.

Thanks for your advise. ill check with my fiberglass tank suppiler =)

12mm is definitely a risk. If i'm not mistaken Mark, the thickness of glass depends on how tall your tank is because the greater the height, the increase of pressure on the panels. 4ft is extremely tall and i personally wouldn't settle for anything less than 3/4 of an inch.
