Help me choose my FIRST PLECO :)

So, Hi guys! I used to be disgusted by plecos, because I only see them sa poo eaters, sucker fish, algae eaters, etc.

But I got addicted to them when I first saw a snowball pleco at a LFS.
and now I did a lot of research, and found an online LFS in Philippines selling a wide variety of plecos.

Would you guys mind helping me choose what pleco? :)

I would also like to consider the part that when they grow up, they are still beautiful. because I know some plecos are cute when they are small, but when they grow up, they go ugly and sometimes lose their spots.

What size is the tank you're going to keep it in?

I would go for the big spot golden nugget myself.

The sunshine pleco fades as it grows.
 
dont worry about what size of tank ill be putting them in, ill take care of them properly :) i have a 20 or 50 gallon tank for them to live in :)
 
Gn is pretty boring looking when it gets larger. Id say go for tge sunshine or try finding some l114. The l114 deff will not disappoint you.

i know golden nugget loos boring when they get big, im guessing because of the spots?? they get smaller?
that's why im getting the BIG SPOT golden nugget :) correct me if im wrong though :)

How bout the leopardfrog pleco? is it beautiful even when it grows?
 
I think you really want that Leopard Frog Pleco (L134) Peckoltia sp. :grinno:

Go for them! They're really nice and grow to only 4"-5" so I don't think fading will be an issue.

i do want the leopard frog, though it only grows to about 4-5" as you mentioned.
i want it to grow a little bigger, since im planning to put it in my arowana tank :(
 
c'mon guys! help a fellow newbie pleco lover out!
choose what pleco you think looks best so that it can help me decide which pleco to get :)
