You need more K-1 or less space in your K-1 chamber. everything I read says 60 % water to 40 % media. that ratio does work pretty good but it takes lots of air to fluidize it.

Yeah, I think more k1 is better, right now i'm waiting on a tetratic air pump to arrive, hopefully with a stronger air pump it'll be better.

You will need 1 litre of air per min. for every litre of media. So if you have 25 L. of kaldness you need 25 L of air per min. regular air pumps dont work for this app, they just dont put out the air needed to fluidize the media. placement of your air difuser on the bottom plays a huge part so be prepared to reconfigure the locations of the outlets to get equal fluidization
