Can fish "gang up" on another fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, every time I go downstairs the smaller female fish that killed him is sitting in the cave that he used to chill in, so I can only assume it had to do with her wanting that portion of the tank for herself.

Sounds 100% accurate as far as what happened. Same issue with my JD when I had this territorial issue. Luckily I bought a separate 45g 4ft long tank and rehoused my JD before anything serious happened. He was really messing up the O though. Missing scales, split fins, etc.

Yeah, I mean, he got a bit messed up a few months back, but it was nothing but some scraped skin. He acted normal, skin grew back, and he was back to his old self. But not this time. He got Jacked. So, once the barred midas are gone, the rocks leave, and the hiding spots leave, so it's going to be an open tank.

That sucks, sorry you're losing him. I love my jag, he's probably my favorite fish right now, so I can understand how much this sucks.

Sorry for your loss*. I have seen plenty of fish arguments to know size doesnt matter. Just come see my 9" kelberi flare at my16" mono. The beast always retreats with a viscous bass on his tail.

Well, the midas are gone. Gave them to a guy who bought some other fish from me.

Then, I noticed the female RTM trying to get it on with the Festae, and I'm not having any of that chaos. haha.

So she's in a 20 for now, and I moved the other amphilo into the 180.
