Sad to hear of another stunted shark. Only 24" long and been in a tank several years. Hope someone with some background picks it up and takes better care of it.

I would take it if the owner is willing to donate it but I am not willing to pay for a shark that has stunted. I have already played that game with my white tip. He was 35" when I got him and not sexually mature at 8 years of age. Now just after a year he is 4 feet and form what can see is sexually mature. Its really cool to see how proper care or lack there of can impact the health of a shark or ray.

"Quote" The shark is in a 20ft x 10-20 ft (I forget which) x 4-5 ft tank, going to be a PITA to get out of there. Owner is a NBA player & was transferred.... NBA lockout isn't helping his situation. A freind services the tanks which are all being torn apart

how big should it be at that age?

I the case of my white tip I would say it should be full grown around 5-6 foot and the black tip your talking about should be at least 3'. My BTR is only 2 years old and is 3 foot
