Mine is about a 8" shell length softshell 'Apalone Ferox' male. Gets along with all the inhabitants in my signature list from the youtube clip in my 155 gallon bowfront. He's been in there for about 2 months and love to keep him long term. Share pictures of what turtle species you have and what kind of tankmates they are in.

I've seen peeps trying to make softshell or fly river turtle in a community environment and seeing how it is working for them. No basking and strictly on all hikari floating and sinking pellets. Here is a clip of my Ferox male. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWy9oRmmdsw

Along with the youtube clip to view set up. Here are some photos I found for softshell. All the Apolone Ferox I've seen on the net. Not many have an all white underside. Pretty cool and closest to a freshwater turtle such as a FRT in my opinion.

My Matamata is about 6" across its carapace. It lives in my 150 tall with Dats, Cats, a delhzi and a variety of lg SD. Never had any issues with the fish. Mata eats frozen silversides and Krill.

The Mata is fine with my fish so far. The turtle is growing faster than a few of my Dats so it worries me a little. During feeding time the turtle will nip at the fish a little....no teeth or sharp mouth so no harm. Anyone else got fully aquatic turtles with fish??

That is funny how you scooped the turtle out of the sand for the video shoot. Is it a apalone mutica or spinefera specie? Also, do you know if it is a male or female?
