PETA: Shark Attack Victims Deserve It - 5

about humanity. I used to write a monthly article and did one on this very subject. A 75 year old man was having a heart attack in the vancouver, b.c. seabus terminal. A 20 something lady stopped immediately to help him. She did not want to leave his side to go get help so tried constantly to get someone, anyone to help. It took over 30 minutes till another 20 something person stopped and then ran to the phone.

I wrote it in the early 90's so it was not a time when everyone had cell phones and such. Absolutely crazy to think that people actually stepped over the old man and ignored the girls plea for help.

Though I love the video of the burning car and man the dude that pulls the biker out by his leg nice.

Notice the cops didnt do squat. Haha

?

Not sure which video you were watching but the first cop on scene tries to get in and help move the car (not enough room with so many people to get in there) and they also try to put the fire out. In regards to moving him, that was a tough situation. They were standing just a few feet from a burning car (definitely not a safe place to be), but I'm sure they were also worried about causing more damage to him. If he had a spinal chord injury they could have done more harm than good by moving him...C-collar and backboard (advanced medical help) was needed to move him safely and I'm sure they knew that.

It's rare that I defend the pigs, but they were in danger being so close to that fire with two tanks of fuel. My hat's off to those guys. Respect where it's due.

and you are the one that sees everything clear ...yeah right ...how old are you btw?

what i said either makes sense to you or it doesn't, my age has nothing to do with the facts i presented. clearly that person was either very young or very nieve to think peta is an A+ organization for animal rights

Ok, aldiaz and lab rat, lets talk. First regarding fuel tanks. You guys must be 14 or 15 to actually think fuel tanks explodes. They dont, sry to burst your bubble. ALdiaz, you listed two fuel tanks. One the bikes has already ruptured. Two, the cars is WELL away from the fire. Its not even close.

Cops didnt put the fire out. They lack the ability. IF you notice, they attempted and as expected failed. Two dry chem extinguishers on that grade of fire? Fail. Oh well at least it suppressed it until the real fire fighters can show up.

You listed spinal problems. ANY fire fighter or EMT knows that spinal precautions are not a concern in this instance. In an instance in which life is in immediate danger you do not do spinal precautions. Life>spine. So defending them with "but his spine" fails. The fact is the cop just stood around.

I never see a cop get into the car and attempt to move it. If he does, he fails. That is the dumbest thing Iv ever heard.

This is the reason why it's hard to help people nowaday..

From the car/motorcycle accident video, I could see those people who slightly move the car first, and let it down will get sued, as long as the guy with white hat and green shirt for dragging that person like a rag doll. The cop was smart (or trained) to know better not to touch the car or move the body. :)

Wow.... (not much I can say about this one)

You've got to love that message. All of those divers, surfers, skiers and yes even the fisherman that have been attacked, must have gotten what was coming to them.

Seriously? Whoever put that ad together needs to walk the plank.

that article is nearly 3 years old.......does anyone know anything about the results from that civil court case? it was 3 years ago. unless the "women" lost i doubt people really care if they're going to get sued or not, they just did what everyone else was doing....which in this case was nothing. i bet if one person had ran up and kneeled down, others would've done the same

Thankfully, thats craps not the norm.

Plus apples to oranges. One was no danger other was obvious life threatening danger

I don't know much about cars, but if I saw a car on fire, I'd think it was important to put the fire out. As far as moving the victim, the person's life was in immediate danger when they were under the car. Once they were pulled out from under the car it was best to not move them until their spine could be stabilized. So you're saying the victim should have been moved more by the police officer even though the car couldn't explode (according to you)?
